How do I open an Examination component or components for exchange with a partner institution?

Prior to the student filling out the Learning Agreement, the following steps must be taken by the Key User of the school.

If the examination component may be used for a study abroad for the outgoing student, the field 'exchange' in the examination component must be set to 'YES'. This can be done for multiple examination components.

These will then be visible to the student while filling out the LA for a study abroad.

See example below for the examination component:

Credits used for the Learning Agreement

For some exam programmes it is the case that the profiling space consists of 60 EC, of which 30 EC are used for exchange. If this examination component is used for exchange then 60 EC will show up on the Learning Agreement. This causes the Learning Agreement to be rejected by the receiving institution. Unfortunately, right now it is not possible to register more than one profiling space in an exam programme, and registering a minimum and maximum amount of credits also does not solve this problem. To make sure that a student can request a Learning Agreement for 30 EC, a separate exam programme for exchange students has to be built. In this exam programme there needs to be an examination component that consists of 30 EC and can be used for exchange. Students can be enrolled to this exam programme when they do a study abroad request.
